Artist in residence from October 2013 – January 2014
Mimosa Echard was born in 1986 in Alès, France. She studed at L’Ensad in Paris where she currently lives and works. Echard’s practice involves a number of mediums: painting, ceramics, drawing – all arranged with assurance and delicacy. Her images and objects describe a kind of archeology of precarious poetry – gathering together plants, pop culture, personalities, and other precious and lightly effete fossils. Over the last few years, her work has been exhibited at several galleries and arts institutions in France and USA, including Palais de Tokyo, La Galerie des Galerie, FRAC Corse.
