The artist Laurent Pernot has already initiated several productions during his residence in Thaillywood, continuing themes that are dear to him, the invisible, the impermanence, the place of mankind. In the cultural context of a society like Thailand, his approach resonates loudly. Through his sculptural practice, he chose to focus particularly on the beliefs and superstitions that have strong influences throughout the country, choices that inspired him to produce artworks in bronze for the first time. Ole Ukena’s Solo Show coming up…
German artist in residence Ole Ukena has been working on his upcoming show “Giving up is not an option” which will be on display at Serindia Gallery in Bangkok in January. We have asked him to have a first glance at work that he is preparing. His show will be circulating around the subject of “interrelating opposites” and psychological imprints we all humans carry.
